Environmental Documentaries are Making me Cry

    October 9, 2020 / 2 Comments

Now before I get into this, I just want to say, although I feel things deeply I normally don't show them externally. Friends, family, and memories can make me cry, but very few movies or television shows do. And the ones that can make me tear up normally hit on a very specific feeling or memory that I can relate to. That is why these documentaries caught me off guard and that is why I decided to write this post. I wanted to not only share these awesome documentaries, but explore why they touched me the way they did and see if I can process it and properly verbalize it.

Why and How I Started Backyard Composting

    July 29, 2020 / 3 Comments

Thanks to COVID and quarantine my days and weeks and months have somewhat started to blend, so I can't, off the top of my head, tell you when I started composting, it was sometime between March and May, but I can tell you how and why. The idea of composting in my backyard started small and slow, and then out of nowhere blew itself up into existence.

Tomorrow is the first day of fall and every summer I try to do my favorite hike, The Bridge to Nowhere.

This summer time got away from me and as we approached the final weekend of the season I still had not hiked to my favorite spot. So @ge_rar_doh and I had no choice but to spend last Saturday deep in Azusa Canyon.

11 miles, 7 hours, and 6 water crossings 🌞

Live music is magic. Live music brings me back to Live music is magic. Live music brings me back to life. And live music touches you in a way that I can't really describe...that all sounds super cheesy and over blown but that's exactly how I feel.

@falloutboy is my favorite band. Have been for over 15 years. Their music means so much to me and their songs have gotten me through so many things. From big memories to small so many of their songs can transport me back to a vivid moment in time.

I could go on and on and never find the right words to express what last night was like for me or what this band means to me, so I'll spare you a long ramble and instead I'll just share this clip that oddly enough made me tear up 🥹 since I can't share anything else because my horrible scream singing covers up everything else.
