Plastic is everywhere! From your water bottle to your remote control, it's hard to do anything in the modern world without using some form of plastic. I Finally Went Camping at Joshua Tree

    May 22, 2022 / 1 Comment

It finally happened! While it took me nearly thirty years to make it out to Joshua Tree for the first time, two years after my initial visit I fulfilled my dream of camping under those big goofy whimsical trees. And it was as magical as I had imagined.

    I Quit My Job!

    May 14, 2022 / 3 Comments

April ended up being an overly hectic month, kicked off with a car accident along with some other things, so I do have to sadly report that I haven't been able to grow any further than I was in March. But the year isn't even halfway over yet and I've already accomplished more than I expected to do this entire year. If you would have asked me back in January where I see myself in six months I would have never guessed I'd be happily working from home, making my own hours. I still need to hustle, I still have a lot of plans, and I still have a long…

    I’m scared. I’m angry. And I’m overwhelmed.

    May 5, 2022 / 4 Comments

Like a lot of women in this country, I have been walking around in a weird, shocked, angry cloud, filled with hours of news watching, Twitter scrolling, and Reddit reading. Although I actually had a lot planned for my blog this week, I've realized that I can't get anything done until I get all of this *waves hands around head* out. So, I am going to try to put into words what I've been going through and what's been on my mind for the past few days. This is probably going to be rambly and possibly not make much sense, but I've got to put this all somewhere. And when…

Emo but make it classy 💎 One more late post in Emo but make it classy 💎

One more late post in my series of perpetual untimely posts (but this is the last one luckily... at least for now), but I couldn't resist sharing this super cool experience.

Earlier this month I went to the @emo_orchestra with @hawthorneheights. And although at the time I had no idea what I was actually buying tickets for, something (@ge_rar_doh) was telling me I would regret it if I didn't go and I felt like it would probably be a pretty unique experience.

I may not have known what I was getting myself into but I would 100% go again if I had the opportunity! This was such a fun, unique, and special experience. It was everything I never knew I needed and as a bonus reignited my interest in Hawthorne Heights music 🎶

Despite my failure to post on a reasonable schedule I still wanted to share my back to back musical adventure of a weekend (last weekend) starting with @durrymusic at @thetroubadour

I discovered Durry sometime early last year (I think. It was sometime before I quit work to freelance) and ever since then I've been hooked.

I love music but it's been a long time since I've gotten so into a band and fallen so hard for some amazing lyrics.

I missed their last tour through the area so I knew I had to make time this time around and it was such a good time. They sound great live, put on an amazing show, and are just a good time.

If you haven't heard them before I highly recommend you check them out. I love so many of their songs and could listen to so many of them on repeat (really they haven't put out anything I don't like yet) but if you need somewhere to start I'd recommend "Worse for Wear" (personal favorite) "Who's Laughing Now" "Coming of Age" and "Encore" ❤️

And they're still on tour so if they're coming to your town and have tickets still available...I say go. You won't regret it!

Been trying to get something from this show posted Been trying to get something from this show posted for nearly a week now and IG just wouldn't have it. And although these aren't my top pix and videos that I originally wanted to share, it's what finally loaded and I'm just happy to be able to share a little bit of this magical night once and for all.

Last week I got to see @official_neontrees for the first time in probably almost 10 years and it was amazing! So much fun and an experience that far exceeded any expectations I had.

I screamed. I danced. I sang until I lost my voice. And I came to the realization that Neon Trees is much more special to me and holds a significant place in my heart and soul than I had realized.
