And then there is Colima Burgers. And as cheesy and dramatic as it sounds, I mean this will all sincerity, since coming back to California, walking into Colima Burgers has felt like coming home each and every time. Colima Burgers is a family run greasy spoon that I have gone to all my life.

Happy Birthday Teddy’s Bigger Burgers
This week Teddy’s Bigger Burgers turned 21! On April 15th, 1998 the first Teddy’s Bigger Burgers opened up at the foot of Diamond Head on Oahu serving fresh ground chuck burgers, fries and shakes. Today Teddy’s can now be found all across Oahu as well as on Maui, in Washington, Iowa, and even internationally. For awhile there was even one located in Fullerton, CA, not too far from my home town. (Although I never ate at this location, it was always on my list to try.) I LOVE burgers! When I lived in California, I was always on the hunt for the perfect burger. One of my favorite things to do on the weekends was to seek out new hole in the wall, greasy spoon, burger joints. After moving to Hawaii, accepting my new burger situation was one of the biggest and most difficult adjustments for me. (That sounds sad, but it is totally true.)
